What is Hot Wallet?
A hot wallet is a crypto wallet connected to the internet, convenient for daily use but more vulnerable to hacking than cold wallets. MetaMask and Trust Wallet are popular hot wallets.
Full Explanation
A hot wallet is any cryptocurrency wallet that is connected to the internet. This includes browser extensions (MetaMask), mobile apps (Trust Wallet, Phantom), and desktop applications (Exodus). Hot wallets offer convenience: easy to access, quick transactions, DeFi interaction. However, they're more vulnerable to malware, phishing attacks, and remote exploits. Best practice: keep only the amount you actively trade/use in hot wallets; move larger holdings to cold storage.
