Watching the 10/10 Wick: Why These Alts Could Be Setting Up for a Move

    Hi Fam,

Since the 10/10 crash, I’ve been quietly keeping an eye on a handful of altcoins that took deep wicks during that move. These levels tend to get ignored once price stabilizes — but historically, when those wicks get filled, momentum often follows.

Recently, we saw a textbook example of this play out on HYPE.
Once the 10/10 wick was filled, price pushed nearly 50% shortly after. That move wasn’t random — it was liquidity doing what liquidity does.

Now, I’m seeing similar structures forming across multiple alts, and some of my alerts went off just yesterday.

    Why the 10/10 Wick Matters

That crash left behind unfinished business on many charts:

    • Long downside wicks

    • Sell-side liquidity resting below

    • Capitulation and coordinated sell off

When price revisits these zones, one of two things usually happens:

    1. Liquidity gets grabbed below the wick

    2. Strong buyers step in → impulsive move to the upside

This is especially powerful when it happens after consolidation, not immediately after the crash.

    Altcoins on My Watchlist

These are the names I’m currently tracking where price is hovering close to the 10/10 wick and could see a strong reaction once it’s fully dealt with:

    • Cardano (ADA)

    • Algorand (ALGO)

    • Avalanche (AVAX)

    • Axie Infinity (AXS)- Already pumped

    • Ethena ( ENA)

    • Hedera (HBAR)

    • Litecoin (LTC)

    • ENS

Across most of these charts, the structure is similar:

    • Price compressing near prior downside wicks

    • Liquidity resting just below

    • Room for expansion once that liquidity is taken

If we see a clean liquidity sweep below the wick, the upside potential increases significantly.

    What I’m Watching for Confirmation

I’m not blindly buying — I’m watching for:

    • Wick fill or marginal sweep below

    • Strong displacement back above the level

    • Volume expansion or reclaim of key structure (4H BOS)

    Final Thoughts

This isn’t about calling tops or bottoms — it’s about understanding where liquidity sits and how price reacts when it’s taken.

The market has a habit of rewarding patience, especially when everyone else has already forgotten where the panic started.
