What Are 9 EMA and 15 EMA?
Since EMAs give more weight to recent prices, they are more responsive than simple moving averages
9 EMA → A fast-moving average that reacts quickly to price changes
15 EMA → A slightly slower moving average that smooths short-term noise
Core Idea of the Strategy
The strategy is based on trend-following momentum:
When the 9 EMA crosses above the 15 EMA, bullish momentum is building
When the 9 EMA crosses below the 15 EMA, bearish momentum is taking control
Bullish Setup -
Higher Timeframe Bias(4h) -
Price above both EMAs
EMA(9) > EMA(15)
EMAs should be clearly separated / good volume
No overlapping or flat EMAs
Trend Confirmation(1H) -
EMA(9) > EMA(15)
Price respecting emas as dynamic support
Pullbacks do not close strongly below EMA(15)
Entry Setup(15m) -
Price pulls back towards 9–15 EMA zone
Pullback candles are small / corrective (no strong bearish momentum)
EMAs still angled upward and separated
SL/TP -
SL - Price closes below EMA(15)
TP - RR>= 1:2 | trail SL - put sl below recent swing low
Bearish Setup -
Higher Timeframe Bias(4h) -
Price below both EMAs
EMA(9) < EMA(15)
EMAs should be clearly separated / good volume
No overlapping or flat EMAs
Trend Confirmation(1H) -
EMA(9) < EMA(15)
Price respecting emas as dynamic resistance
Pullbacks do not close strongly above EMA(15)
Entry Setup(15m) -
Price pulls back towards 9–15 EMA zone
Pullback candles are small / corrective (no strong bearish momentum)
EMAs still angled downward and separated
SL/TP -
SL - Price closes above EMA(15)
TP - RR>= 1:2 | trail SL - put sl above recent swing high
Avoid Trading -
EMAs are flat and overlapping
Price constantly flips above/below EMAs
Range-bound consolidation
