Delete your account
You can ask us to delete your Fedha Academy account (website and Android app, which share one account) at any time. This page explains what gets deleted, what we keep, and how to send the request.
1. How to request deletion
- Use the request form. The button below opens our contact form with the subject “Delete my account” pre-filled. Send it from the e-mail address you sign in with (the Google account you use for Fedha Academy).
- We confirm it is you. If the request does not come from the account’s e-mail address, we reply to that address to confirm before deleting anything.
- We delete the account within 30 days and e-mail you when it is done. Signing in again after that creates a brand-new, empty account.
No form access? Write to us via the Contact page with the subject “Delete my account”.
2. What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- your profile: name, e-mail address, picture, display name, bio and settings;
- your mobile number, your WhatsApp choice and the record of when you changed it;
- learning progress, quiz results, certificates, streaks, points and badges;
- paper-trading portfolios, trades, journal entries, duels, your rating and challenge entries;
- the anti-cheat records from challenges you joined (IP address, browser type and device fingerprint);
- survey answers (including any income range you chose to share) and saved preferences;
- messages you sent through the contact form and feedback you sent us, with any screenshots;
- analytics events tied to your account id in our own analytics (raw events are in any case deleted after 90 days);
- in Google Analytics, the data linked to your account id: we ask Google to delete it with its user deletion tool.
Our nightly backups are kept for up to 8 weeks and then overwritten, so your data leaves the backups within 8 weeks of the deletion.
Before you ask: deletion is permanent. Your progress, certificates and rating cannot be restored, and your name disappears from public leaderboards with the account.
3. What we may keep
- Aggregated statistics that no longer identify you (for example “how many people finished a lesson”).
- Records we are legally required to keep, such as prize-payout records for challenge winners and records of rewards redeemed before the rewards programme closed on 20 September 2026, for as long as the law requires.
- Articles you published: published articles may stay online under the licence in our Terms, but we remove the link to your account and change the byline to “Deleted account”. Drafts and other unpublished submissions are deleted.
4. Delete some data without closing the account
- Analytics: switch analytics off for your browser or app on the Privacy page.
- WhatsApp updates: switch them off on your profile page. Your mobile number stays, because every account needs one.
- Survey answers, paper-trading history or feedback: use the same request form and tell us what to remove. We can delete parts of your data and keep the account.
Questions about how we handle data are answered in our Privacy Policy.
