Bitcoin Kicks Off 2026 with Strong Rebound: Bullish Momentum Returns

Bitcoin (BTC) has started 2026 on a bullish note, climbing from around $88,000 at the end of 2025 to approximately $94,000 as of January 6. This rebound comes after a late-2025 pullback that saw the cryptocurrency drop from its all-time high of over $126,000 in October, marking a roughly 30% correction.

The early gains have been driven by several key factors. U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen strong inflows, totaling over $1.2 billion in the first few trading days of the year—a sharp reversal from the record outflows of late 2025. Analysts point to fresh new-year allocations by institutions, a rebound in U.S. demand (as evidenced by the rising Coinbase Bitcoin Premium), and safe-haven buying amid geopolitical developments.

Fundstrat’s Tom Lee, a longtime Bitcoin bull, recently reiterated that the cryptocurrency has not peaked and could reach a new all-time high by the end of January 2026. Traders are echoing this optimism, with increased bets on options targeting $100,000+ prices in the near term.

Historically, Bitcoin has shown strength in January following multi-month declines, and the current setup—combined with potential supportive policies from the pro-crypto Trump administration—suggests the bull market may be resuming.

While volatility is expected in 2026, the structural fundamentals remain strong: growing institutional adoption via ETFs, tightening supply post the 2024 halving, and Bitcoin’s evolving role as a digital store of value.

As the market digests these developments, all eyes are on whether BTC can break above $95,000–$100,000 in the coming weeks, potentially setting the stage for further upside this year.

What do you think—will Bitcoin hit a new ATH in January? Stay tuned for more updates!
